Gary Owen Sides with Katt Williams, Gripes About Steve Harvey Show Test Run

Gary Owen was one of the select few comedians Katt Williams spared in his wild "Club Shay Shay" interview, and turns out Gary has some explosive stories of his own to share.

Katt likened GO’s lack of crossover success to NOT joining the Illuminati -- unlike Ludacris, who Katt accused of joining the secret society -- prompting Gary to recall the time he attempted to breach mainstream audiences on Steve Harvey's TV show.

Gary says he was under the impression he and Steve were going to partner up, but instead found himself hidden backstage doing voiceovers for his show … the same show Katt clowned Steve for eventually losing to Kelly Clarkson.

Gary also alluded to being MeToo'ed by a Hollywood exec as another reason he never hit the big time ... but says he didn't compromise his integrity to get where he is today.

Nicki Minaj's 'Starships' Producer RedOne Cool with Her Cutting It From Shows

Nicki Minaj refusing to perform her almost-Diamond smash hit "Starships" is shocking fans, but RedOne -- the maestro who co-produced the track -- says the music mutiny is okay in his book.

RedOne tells TMZ Hip Hop, "I have the utmost respect for Nicki Minaj and I love her work very much. I will always respect an artist's wishes ... I feel very proud to have made that record with her along with the global success it made."

RedOne tells TMZ Hip Hop, "I have the utmost respect for Nicki Minaj and I love her work very much. I will always respect an artist's wishes ... I feel very proud to have made that record with her along with the global success it made."

RedOne likely isn't feeling the burn, either. The superproducer has hits for days -- Lady Gaga's "Just Dance," and Usher's "More" to name a couple. He also scored a few more records with Nicki, such as "Pound the Alarm," and she's still performing that one to this day.

Blueface Now Owes $14 Million in Las Vegas Shooting Payout, Interest Accruing

Blueface escaped jail time in his Las Vegas shooting case, but his debt to the shuttered strip club's owner is growing even bigger by the day.

According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, Euphoric Gentleman's Club's $13,072,482 judgment has gone unpaid since the judge ordered it in October 2023 ... and accrued interest has raised the new total due to a staggering $14,386,164.23.

The judge hit the rapper with probation after he took a plea deal for his role in the Nov. 2022 shooting. However, he was still ordered to shell out over $12 million for the venue's lost revenue and another $84k to cover lost wages for the employees.

Rickey Smiley Cries During IG Live After Katt Williams Diss |

Rickey Smiley broke out in tears during a recent Instagram Live, and many fans believe the emotional moment was due to Katt Williams’ viral interview with Shannon Sharpe.

During the comedian’s appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast, Williams said Smiley lied when he sat down with Sharpe on the podcast and said he auditioned to play the iconic pimp character Money Mike in “Friday After Next.” The role ultimately went to Williams, who claims he was never considered for any other role in the film.

“This man told you he had Katt Williams’ role. He was going to be Money Mike, and Katt Williams was going to be the Santa Claus,” he told Sharpe. “We auditioned in Los Angeles. I was audition No. 201. Two hundred Black comedians auditioned for the role of Money Mike with me. You’re saying all 201 of us was auditioning, and you had already had the role and had already shot the role in four days?”

Smiley replied and insisted he auditioned for the Money Mike role but ended up playing Santa Claus in the film.

“I guess the producers, Cube, and everybody saw something different,” he said.

Days after Williams’ pearl-clutching interview with Sharpe, Smiley went on IG Live and appeared sad while making a cup of coffee. He walked away a few minutes into the video and could be heard crying off-camera.

Some social media users believe he was emotional about the fallout with Williams. Other fans, however, noted that Smiley could still be mourning the death of his son, Brandon, who died about a year ago from a drug overdose.

B.G. ADDRESSES LIL WAYNE DISS: 'Y'ALL DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT'S GOING ON'

B.G. has addressed his recent diss towards fellow Hot Boys member Lil Wayne.

In a rambling video posted online over the weekend, the New Orleans rapper clarified his relationship with Weezy, who he referred to as his “little brother.”

“Y’all don’t understand what the fuck be going on, you know what I’m saying?” he said. “I tell a n-gga I love him and call him a bitch all in the same sentence. It’s family business, man.

On a new song with Finesse2Tymes called “Gangstafied” that was released last week, B.G. took aim at Wayne directly.

The lyric went: “My n-gga Boosie went home and my dawg was steady blowing/ My n-gga Weezy steady touring but he’s bitch and it’s showing/ I’m still a living legend, don’t act like you didn’t know it.”

B.G. and Wayne have known each other since they were both teenagers and their issues started after the former left Cash Money Records in the early 2000s to start his own record label.

Wayne addressed the fallout on his 2004 song “I Miss My Dawgs” where he rapped: “We were in the same position/ And that’s when you changed position, shit/ I never changed and I miss ya, and it’s strange/ But I never forget ya.”

“Though that ain’t you with them bitches, homie/ And I know that ain’t you wit that dissin’ on me, that’s why I/ Never replied and never will, just let ’em live phony,” he added.

At the time, B.G. told MTV: “I went through the roof. [Lil Wayne] sent our relationship sideways. I had a lot of respect for shorty cause he done that ‘I Miss My Dawgs’ song. He performed it for me.

“To make a long story short, he was like, fuck everybody who left Cash Money. I’m one of the ones who left Cash Money, so really you saying fuck me. I left, Juve left. When you say fuck me, I’m gonna say fuck you back.”

B.G. was released from prison in September 2023 after serving 11 years of a 14-year sentence. He pleaded guilty in 2011 to possession of a firearm and conspiracy to obstruct justice stemming from an arrest two years earlier.

Lil Wayne has yet to respond to B.G.’s diss song nor his recent comments.

“Shout out to my little brother Weezy. I spoke to my little brother last night. Shout out to shorty, man. Still my little bro. Love my little bro. This shit be complicated.”

LIL NAS X SAYS HE'S 'ABOUT TO EXPOSE THE INDUSTRY' AHEAD OF TWO NEW SINGLES

Lil Nas X has announced that he’ll be releasing two new songs in the coming days, and promised to expose “the industry’s” secrets when he does so.

The “Montero” rapper took to TikTok on Saturday (January 6) to tease the threat. In the video, he can be seen in a car, wearing a hoodie, and looking out the window pensively.

“Me knowing I’m about to expose the industry next Friday and realizing I need to watch my back for the next 7 days,” he wrote in the caption.

CAM'RON IDENTIFIES AS BLACK NOT AFRICAN AMERICAN: 'AFRICANS DON'T EVEN F WITH US'

Cam’ron has turned a portion of the Season 3 premiere of his sports talk show It Is What It Is into a monologue on his views on racial classification.

About halfway through the show’s most recent episode, Cam’ron began talking to co-host Ma$e about race and sports fandom. That led Killa Cam into an extended speech about why he thought of himself as a “Black American” as opposed to an “African American.”

“I’d rather fill in ‘Black’ than ‘African American’ [on I.D. forms] because Africans don’t even fuck with us,” he began.

“[When] you go over there [to Africa], they call us ‘yankees.’ They fuck with us, but we’re not from the Motherland. We’re from America. So I’d rather say I’m a Black American.”

Cam then used the Olympics as an example to further his point.

“When we go to the Olympics, as a country, and somebody Black is fighting from the United States, you don’t say ‘African American.’ You say ‘American.’ You don’t even put a color on it. It’s an American fighter… You’re known in the Olympics as an American. It doesn’t matter what color you are…”

He continued: “The point is, they don’t categorize it when it’s world competition, but when it’s other shit, it needs to be categorized. So I consider myself a Black American. I don’t consider myself an African American.”

The rapper-slash-talk-show-host wound down by shouting out “all my n-ggas in Africa.”

“Much love,” he added. “But y’all don’t consider us real Africans. Y’all don’t!”
