Angel Reese sends Fever star explicit trash talk after tough bucket

Angel Reese felt good about herself in the first quarter of Sunday's WNBA game between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever, hitting NaLyssa Smith with some first-quarter trash talk after scoring past the Fever player. She tormented Smith throughout the contest, finishing with 25 points and 16 rebounds in an 88-87 win.

Reese appeared to shout, “Don’t ---- with me” following her basket through contact from Smith. Reese has been playing at a high level of late, entering Sunday on the back of a career-best outing against the Dallas Wings.

The rookie attributes her fearless trash-talking to her Baltimore roots. Earlier this year, her former high school coach Nyke Burrell told ESPN that Reese's fiery demeanor, which has contributed to her being a polarizing figure, comes from her upbringing in Baltimore.


Rapper Julio Foolio Shot, Killed in 'Ambush' at Hotel

Julio Foolio -- an up-and-coming rapper from Florida -- has died in a shooting outside a Tampa-area hotel ... TMZ has confirmed.

His attorney Lewis Fusco released a statement announcing the death Sunday, just hours after his client passed. According to the statement ... Julio -- whose real name was Charles Jones -- was in town to celebrate his birthday.

While he was staying at an AirBnb at first ... Fusco cites law enforcement reports which say he was kicked out of his accommodations for exceeding the maximum occupancy and checked in to a local Holiday Inn.

Just before 5 AM ET, an incident occurred in the hotel parking lot ... with Julio's lawyers saying the rapper was reportedly ambushed and killed. They're asking for privacy for the family at this time.

Diddy scrubbed his Instagram this week -- including his on-camera apology over the Cassie video -- and while some think it's a diss ... we're told there's no subliminal messaging here.

At some point late Thursday, Diddy got rid of every single IG post on his page -- wiping it completely clean without any explanation ... and that includes the video he posted where he addressed the brutal video of him beating his then-girlfriend.

The internet was rife with theories on what might've been behind the move -- but sources with direct knowledge have assured us there's nothing behind the move other than Puff wanting to reset his posts ... something we're told he's done in the past.

Rakim -- the man, the myth, The 18th Letter -- is back on the hip hop scene after a 15-year break from releasing albums!!!

TMZ Hip Hop caught up with the "Paid In Full" legend Friday just hours removed from the premiere of his new song "Be Ill," which finds the "God MC" shooting lyrical darts with Kurupt and Wu-Tang Clan's Masta Killa. Rakim produced the track, added the DJ scratches himself and tells us his upcoming album "God's Network: Rebirth" is actually a compilation showcase for rap stars he rocks with.

Snoop Dogg and Tha Dogg Pound have called back to the glory days of Death Row by teaming up with The Lady Of Rage and RBX on a posse cut produced by DJ Premier.

SWIZZ BEATZ ADDRESSES BACKLASH OVER VERZUZ DEAL WITH ELON MUSK & X

Swizz Beatz has responded to the strong reactions elicited by the announcement that he and Timbaland had forged a partnership between Verzuz and Elon Musk’s X.

On Friday (June 21), the mega-producer shared a photoset captured in Cannes, France — where he and Timbo announced during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity that all future Verzuz content will be released exclusively on the platform formerly known as Twitter.

In the first photo, the two can be seen sporting merch created to celebrate the partnership. Over the photo, in cursive, Swizz included the phrase, “We will show you better than tell you.”

He echoed the statement in the post’s caption, adding, “Blessings to all,” along with a series of emojis.

Unfortunately, the post did not seem to sway the naysayers, as many took to the comments to call Swizz Beatz and Timbaland out for “selling out;” while others suggested they should have partnered with any other social media platform.

“It’s cool to ‘show us’ but don’t play in our faces and act like folks don’t have a valid reason to question this partnership,” wrote one commenter.

To which Swizzy replied: “But nobody said anything before we been on that platform since Verzuz started.”



ICE SPICE FLOODED WITH NICKI MINAJ COMPARISONS OVER ‘PHAT BUTT’

Ice Spice has been hit with Nicki Minaj comparisons after releasing her latest single “Phat Butt.”

Right after dropping the track on Friday (June 21), fans remarked how similar the Bronx native sounded to Minaj, with several pointing out that her flow sounded very similar to her Pinkprint song, “Shanghai.”

Ice Spice’s Instagram post was flooded with negative comments about the apparent likeness.

One said: “I wouldn’t be surprised if this was one of Nicki’s throwaways. Regardless I like that she switched up the flow. Still don’t care to see her axx all day but you can’t win em all.”

Another joked: “What in the nicki minaj is this.”

One fan even claimed: “I think Nicki wrote this.”



2PAC’S ACCUSED KILLER KEEFE D REPORTEDLY SET TO BE RELEASED FROM PRISON ON SIX-FIGURE BOND

2Pac s murder case was had an extremely belated big break last year, but the prime suspect will apparently not be help in police custody for much longer.

On Friday (June 21), KTNV reported that Keefe D (real name Duane Davis) has gathered the $750,000 required for his bond released from jail as he waits for the murder trial to commence in November.

He will return to court on Tuesday (June 25), which is when Judge Carli Kierny is expected to lay out the terms and conditions of his freedom from the Clark County Detention Center. Additionally, there’s a possibility that he will also be questioned about how he secured the aforementioned funds.



ICE CUBE SAYS NEW ‘FRIDAY’ HAS ‘TRACTION’ WITH WARNER: ‘THEY FINALLY CAME TO THEIR SENSES’

Ice Cube has been vocal about his dispute with Warner Bros. over the ownership of his Friday film franchise, and the West Coast icon has now offered an update on its future.

During an interview on Sirius XM’s Flavor Of The Week that aired on Monday (June 17), he revealed that the series could be brought back to life after more than two decades of inactivity. “We finally got some traction with Warner Bros.,” he told host Flavor Flav. “They have new leadership. My man Mike DeLuca, who used to be at New Line when I first started, when I first did the first Friday and Players Club and All About the Benjamins. Mike DeLuca was there, so now he’s running Warner Bros.”


Birdman has controversially questioned whether reading can help prison inmates during a prison visit.

In a new clip that surfaced on social media this week, the Cash Money Records founder could be seen talking to a group of inmates at Orleans Parish Prison and claimed: “I got enough power to help y’all.”

The rapper and record executive was then interrupted by an inmate who said that they wanted greater access to books and literature.

Birdman then retorted: “You think reading books gone help y’all?”

Birdman’s comments were defended by Baton Rouge rapper Fredo Bang in a post on X.

“People who never did time might be confused on what he saying,” he wrote on Wednesday (June 19). “It looks like they are ‘pre-trial’ meaning they still fighting charges and can possibly go home. If I’m them help is a ‘good lawyer or a bond.’

“The one asking for books probably doesn’t plan on going home (or knows he gonna have to take time) soon and in that case books would be a good thing to have. Just a lil clarity…”
