21 SAVAGE SAYS ‘A LOT’ OF HIS RAPS ARE NOT REAL FOLLOWING FAT JOE ADMISSION

21 Savage is taking a page out of Fat Joe‘s playbook and declaring a majority of his song content to be fiction amid the recent controversy over lyrics being used in court cases.

Talking to Rolling Stone in a new interview published on Monday (December 18), the “A Lot” rapper proclaimed that his music is “fiction as hell.”

“I just think of it in my head,” he told the esteemed publication. “Some of it be based off of real life, but a lot of it be creative stories.”

His comments follow Fat Joe’s recent claims that he lied in “95 percent” of his raps – which he said in defense of Young Thug, whose lyrics about committing crimes are being used in his current RICO trial.

FOXY BROWN REACTS TO NICKI MINAJ BREAKING HER LONG-STANDING CHART RECORD

Foxy Brown has been one of Nicki Minaj‘s biggest influences, so it was no surprise that the Brooklyn rapper reacted graciously to Nicki breaking one of her chart records.

On Sunday (December 17), Brown took to her Instagram Story to share her delight at Minaj scoring a third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with Pink Friday 2. That’s the most of any female rapper, beating Foxy’s previous record of two (1997’s The Firm: The Album, a collab with Nas, AZ, and Nature; and 1999’s Chyna Doll).

“Umm sir! Only Nic could break tha king[‘s] record,” Foxy wrote, before alluding to a potential comeback: “3rd #1 record dropping 2024.”

(In December 2005, Brown announced that her hearing had deteriorated significantly. She hasn’t released a full-length album since 2001’s Broken Silence.)

Brown continued showing love, referring to Nicki as her “twin.”

“Hella proud,” she wrote. “26 year record is brazy tho. Y’all mean to tell me no bitch broke that shit in my absence! Took twin to set tha bar again!”

Nicki Minaj has made history on the Billboard Hot 100 following the release of her new album Pink Friday 2.

According to Chart Data, Nicki’s latest project has become the female rap album with the highest number of songs to appear on the Hot 100, with 17 of its 22 tracks landing on the chart.

14 of those 17 songs debuted on this week’s Hot 100, with the Lil Uzi Vert-assisted “Everybody” being the highest at No. 26, followed by the Drake collaboration “Needle” at No. 34 and “FTCU” at No. 42.

Other tracks include “Barbie Dangerous” (No. 58), “Are You Gone Already” (No. 60), “Let Me Calm Down” featuring J. Cole (No. 63), “Beep Beep” (No. 64), “Big Difference” (No. 73) and “RNB” featuring Lil Wayne and Tate Kobang (No. 80).

“Super Freaky Girl” previously peaked at No. 1 last year, while “Red Ruby da Sleeze” (No. 13) and “Last Time I Saw You” (No. 23) had also earlier appeared on the chart.

CARDI B & OFFSET TO PERFORM AT SAME MIAMI HOTEL ON NEW YEAR'S EVE

Cardi B and Offset’s breakup has been public and messy, but upcoming booking details reveal that they might even clash professionally very soon.

On New Year’s Eve (December 31), both rappers have been scheduled to perform at the same hotel in Miami, but at different venues within the building. If that isn’t enough tension already, their set times will also coincide, which makes a side-by-side comparison of their respective draws imminent.

Page Six has reported that the former couple agreed to perform at the Fountainbleu prior to their romance disintegrating and that the overlap most likely isn’t intentional.

Whereas the New York MC and DJ Gryffin will play to a crowd at the luxe pool with passes “ranging from $5,000 up to $25,000,” the Migos trapstar will take the stage at LIV nightclub for tickets between $125 and $15,000.

NBA YOUNGBOY GRANTED HOUSE ARREST AMENDMENT AFTER MENTAL HEALTH PETITION

NBA YoungBoy has been granted a house arrest amendment that will allow him to leave his residence for medical appointments.

Per XXL, Judge Shelly D. Dick signed off on YoungBoy — born Kentrell Gaulden — receiving a modification to his house arrest on Tuesday (December 19) due to his alleged deteriorating mental health.

“The defendant is restricted to 24-hour a day lock-down at his residence except for medical appointments and court appearances or other activities specifically approved in advance by the defendant’s pretrial supervision officer,” the filing reportedly reads.

With the amendment, YoungBoy can now leave his Utah estate to attend various doctor appointments in the area.

Judge Dick iced the idea of YoungBoy traveling outside of Utah for work-related duties, a modification the rapper’s team had also requested.

Last month, NBA YoungBoy filed court docs claiming that the house arrest has taken a toll on his mental health and led to him having depression.

Federal prosecutors initially pushed against the judge allowing YB to travel for any reason outside of his court dates in the Louisiana gun case.

“The United States fails to see how the defendant’s current conditions of pre-trial release prohibit him from seeking and obtaining mental health treatment,” Assistant U.S. Attorney William K. Morris wrote last month.

The trial in the Baton Rouge rapper’s federal gun case is expected to finally begin in July 2024. YoungBoy will remain under strict house arrest regulations — which he has been under since 2021 — until the trial concludes.

6IX9INE MAY HAVE TO SELL OFF ROLLS ROYCE & MANSION TO COVER $10M ASSAULT JUDGMENT

6ix9ine has found himself at the edge of a potential financial cliff thanks to his failure to respond in a timely manner to demands made in a civil trial.

According to court documents obtained by HipHopDX, the “GUMMO” rapper made several unsuccessful efforts to try to get the nearly $10 million judgment filed against him by dancer Alexis Salaberrios dismissed.

As a result, a receiver was appointed on November 29 to make sure that the rapper (real name Daniel Hernandez) would turn his assets over for potential sale to satisfy the judgment.

This means that 6ix9ine’s assets — including a Florida mansion and his Rolls Royce — may be sold off by the receiver to cover the judgment amount. While the option exists, however there’s no indication that the sale of the rapper’s property will, in fact, happen.

While relevant motions opposing this final judgment were required to be filed by Friday (December 15), as of this writing the court docket doesn’t show any additional efforts made by 6ix9ine’s attorneys.

This would indicate that either the motions haven’t been filed; or that the court dockets have not been updated.

KEEFE D'S LAWYERS CLAIM STATEMENTS ABOUT 2PAC'S MURDER WERE FOR 'ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES

Keefe D‘s lawyers have claimed that statements he made regarding 2Pac’s murder were just for “entertainment purposes.”

Keefe (real name Duane Davis) is the only person to ever be charged with ‘Pac’s 1996 murder and faces trial next year having pled not guilty.

The former gang member’s legal team have now requested that he be released from jail ahead of the trial and be granted bail, which he has been refused ever since he was arrested in September.

According to KTNV, his attorneys listed a number of reasons for the request in their motion, including that many public statements made by Keefe D relating to the murder of the rap legend were for “entertainment purposes.”

They claim that prosecutors have relied on excerpts from Davis’ 2019 book Compton Street Legend, which was co-written by Yusuf Jah, and “did not delineate which parts of the book, if any, were written by Duane.”

They also referenced interviews their client has given about 2Pac’s death in recent years, claiming an “astounding amount of hearsay and speculative testimony” was presented to the grand jury that chose to indict the 60-year-old.

“The truthfulness of the content of the interviews was never verified,” they argue in the filing. “The book and interviews were done for entertainment purposes and to make money from a situation that [LAPD officers] and others had already profited [from].”

Keefe D’s lawyers also claim that he has been suffering from ill health while incarcerated. He previously revealed a colon cancer diagnosis.

“He is not getting his bi-monthly oncologist check-ups. Additionally, his heart health has declined,” the petition reads. “He was put back on a group of medications to try to get things under control.

“He has to take these medications in the jail because he is unable to do the things necessary to maintain proper health. His diet in jail is terrible. He is given heavily-processed meals full of sodium that barely pass as food.”
