Drake Fighting For His Life Amongst The Chaos

When it comes to "Rap Beefs", we often think about the punchlines and metaphors that one can hear via the Rap Battling circuit. The Rap Battle is as old as the game itself. Movies like Eminem's 8 mile and the classic Wild Style both showcased the art of Mcing. Historically, the rap battle have transformed into "Rap Beef".  As a person that considers himself a true hip hopper, I have had the pleasure of witnessing some of the best Mc Battles/Rap Beefs.

Legendary Mcs Jay and Nas ignited an historical battle in which Nas was crowned the winner. Of course, LL Cool Jay, have been in many lyrical wars dissing legendary Mcs like Kool Me Dee, Ice Tee, and Canibus thus cementing himself as The G.O.A.T Mc. We also can't forget the dreaded "East Coast Vs. West Cost Beef". West Coast representor Tupac Shakur and Brooklynn's finest Mc The Notorious B.I.G both lost their lives to what many believe to be a direct result of the diss tracks that 2 Pac dropped.

We are now witnessing some of today's most popular Mcs/rappers going head to head. National recording artists and Mcs Drake, Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Rick Ross and (some say new comer) Symba are all dropping diss tracks in an ultimate war to position themselves as the best in the game. In-short, it's like a may lay of rappers dropping diss songs almost everyday.

The great thing about the current state of "hiphop" music is that we as fans can setback and enjoy the many different artists and songs that they are coming with. The only downfall to all of the attention that the game is generating is most people are just logging on to the internet via YouTube and the hip hop blogs instead of supporting these Mcs/rappers for their creativity and music. Until next time, have some fun and get something done.
