Suge Knight Expresses Sympathy for Diddy Amid Legal Troubles

Diddy's legal troubles aren't anything to cheer about, says Suge Knight ... a shocking sentiment given the decades-long bad blood between the two, and he reveals his sentiments in a brand new documentary "TMZ Presents: The Downfall of Diddy."

The former Death Row exec spoke with us from prison about his longtime rival, and while many expected him to gloat about the raid on Diddy's mansions ... Suge says he felt sympathy for Puff. Suge says his thoughts went to Diddy's kids and the negative impact the allegations have on hip-hop culture. Knight says he's not the type to revel in people's downfalls ... adding he'd rather squash his beef with Puffy through conversation instead of rooting for the world to tear him down.

Diddy Files Motion to Dismiss Some Counts In Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Diddy wants to dismiss some of the claims in one of his sexual assault cases ... claiming he can't be sued under laws that didn’t even exist at the time of the alleged incident.

According to new docs, obtained by TMZ ... Diddy's lawyers are firing back at claims made by Joi Dickerson-Neal -- a woman who filed a suit against him in November claiming he drugged and sexually assaulted her back in 1991. Joi filed six causes of action against Diddy ... and, now his team's claiming she can't sue him for several of those claims because the laws didn't exist when she says he assaulted her. For example, Dickerson-Neal's suing Diddy under the New York Services for Victims of Human Trafficking Law ... which Diddy’s lawyers note wasn't in effect until 2007 -- about 16 years after the incident took place. Basically, Diddy's lawyers are calling for claims under these laws to be dismissed with prejudice -- though, of course, they're also maintaining their client didn’t commit the alleged acts at all, including the sexual assault she claims to have endured at his hands. Quavo's Concert Attended By Small Crowd, Fans Blame Chris Brown

Quavo's recent concert's getting attention online ... 'cause the crowd looks pretty small compared to the venue -- and, tons of people are convinced it's Chris Brown's doing.

Video from Quavo's concert in Bridgeport, Connecticut is floating around social media ... seemingly showing a damn-near empty venue looking more like a gig for a small-time artist than a former member of Migos. The crowd in the pit's pressed up close to the stage ... with people in back of the clot no more than 10 or 15 rows removed from the artist. It's a pretty bizarre scene, ya gotta say and Quavo handles it with grace ... putting on a pretty spectacular show for the lackluster audience. But, the tiny crowd has people online theorizing Chris Brown may have pulled one over on Q. Folks online are pushing the conspiracy theory Brown bought a ton of the tickets for the show so Quavo would perform to a pretty much empty concert hall -- basically as a way to embarrass his nemesis. Admittedly, it's a bit far-fetched ... Chris would've spent a small fortune on Quavo's show -- handing over cash to someone he hates. Stranger things have happened, we suppose.

Kanye West Battery Investigation Winding Down, No One Talking to Cops

Kanye West's alleged punching incident might be over and done with pretty soon -- 'cause cops are winding down their investigation ... as everyone's gone radio silent.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … nobody has spoken to police in the aftermath of LAPD taking their battery report last week -- this after Ye allegedly punched one of the Houston Brother twins at the Chateau Marmont. Our sources say cops have attempted to reach Kanye as well as the alleged victim -- either Mark or Jonnie, we're not sure which -- but so far ... it's been crickets from everyone involved. While the brothers first spoke with the cops on the night in question -- when Ye allegedly socked one of them after bumping into Bianca -- we're told they've been less than forthcoming now. We're told cops believe they and Ye have been talking in the aftermath. What's interesting about that is the fact that sources who've seen the surveillance video that actually captured the original incident -- when one of the brothers ran into BC in the hotel lobby -- don't, in fact, back Kanye's claim ... namely, that she was groped. On the contrary ... we're told it was ultimately found to be an innocent run-in. In any case ... now that no one's talking, we're told this thing is gonna be wrapped up soon and shipped on over to the L.A. City Attorney's Office -- where they'll make a decision on it. Considering the alleged punch wasn't caught on camera ... it's unclear what the result will be.

Drake Complying With Tupac Estate to Get 'Taylor Made Freestyle' Scrubbed

Drake's making amends with Tupac's estate, complying with the cease and desist demands it made after he used an AI Tupac voice on his diss track, "Taylor Made Freestyle."

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Drake's team and representatives from Tupac's estate have had productive talks after the estate sent its C&D letter on Wednesday -- and it's already led to serious progress. Drake's taken down the track from his Twitter and Instagram -- the only places he posted it -- and, his team is trying to get it removed from other sites that redistributed it.

R. KELLY'S CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CONVICTION UPHELD IN CHICAGO

R. Kelly‘s conviction for child pornography in Chicago has been upheld by an appellate court, and it is now likely that he will spend the remainder of his life in prison.

Bureau of Prisons records obtained by HipHopDX confirm that the disgraced singer is being held at a medium-security prison in North Carolina, and he is not due to be released until 2045, when he will be 78 years old. Additionally, the Chicago Sun-Times reports that the 2022 decision to convict him of the crime was upheld as of Friday (April 26), and it is unclear whether Kelly has any further opportunities to appeal.

R. Kelly will serve his sentence at the FCI Butner prison, where he was transferred from Chicago back in December 2023. Last month, R. Kelly’s attorney Jennifer Bonjean claimed college fraternities could be deemed racketeering organizations under a law used to convict the singer.

The law was used when he was found guilty on three counts of child pornography and three counts of child enticement.

Bonjean tried to persuade judges that prosecutors improperly used a racketeering statute written to shut down organized crime to go after R. Kelly, in attempt to reverse his 2021 convictions or win him a new trial.

She said it was unfair prosecutors charged Kelly with leading a Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) enterprise from 1994 to 2018.

“This was not a collection of people who had a purpose to recruit girls for sexual abuse or child pornography,” she said. “Whether they turned a blind eye, whether some of them suspected that some of these girls were underage, that’s a whole different matter.

“And once we get into that sort of territory, where we’re going to say that constitutes a RICO enterprise, well we have a lot of organizations — we have a lot of frat houses — we have all types of organizations that are now going to become RICO enterprises.”

Doja Cat Curses Out Parents: 'Leave Your Kids at Home MF'

Doja Cat is fuming about parents who have the nerve to bring kids to her concerts, and then complain about what they see -- after all, she has a hit entitled "Wet Vagina" for cryin' out loud!!! On Friday, Doja used equally colorful language while lashing out at adults who, apparently, can't find able-bodied babysitters.

It's unclear what exactly set her off, but her recent Coachella performances back up her rant. Doja bumped and grinded across a muddy stage wearing nothing but lingerie, and made no apologies for p-popping in full view of cameras and her front-row fans. Of course, all this fuss could also be a shock marketing ploy for her "Scarlet" tour, which is set to hit Europe this summer, but her anger sounds legit. No doubt, you're gonna get people's attention, Doja, when ya start referring to their kids as "mistakes" and all.

Wild Fight Breaks Out After Fan Slaps Rapper Stunna Girl's Butt

A new video shows a fight breaking out at a concert ... with a couple people coming offstage to beat on a man they think slapped a performer's backside.

Rapper Stunna Girl -- who's got a solid online following -- performed in Syracuse, New York Friday ... when video shows a fan reaching up and smacking her on the ass. While the rapper seems to brush it off in the moment, she walks over to a man -- who many fans have identified as her husband RichMula500 -- and whispers something to him ... and, that's when all hell breaks loose. Another clip shows RichMula now in the crowd ... basically nose-to-nose with the guy he believes touched Stunna's booty. The video of the moment itself doesn't show the fan, so we can't be certain this is the person who touched Stunna -- but RM500 seems pretty confident it is. The two exchange words ... but, Mula doesn't throw the first punch. Instead, another person onstage comes and grabs the dude by the back of the neck -- before wrestling him to the ground where they start throwing punches at him. Stunna comes down to grab her husband ... but, she's ushered away to safety -- a good move too because chairs start getting thrown and the whole concert venue erupts into chaos. If you don't know Stunna, she's up-and-coming in the rap game ... hanging out with the likes of French Montana. Stunna's accumulated more than half a million monthly listeners on Spotify -- so she's a big deal. We've reached out to both Stunna's team and Syracuse PD ... so far, no word back.
