Lil Wayne Old Lyric Notebook on Sale for $5 Million After Legal Saga

Lil Wayne’s lyric notebook is officially for sale with a hefty price tag … after a years-long saga to determine ownership finally wrapped up earlier this year.

TMZ has learned … the rapper’s notebook from the ‘90s is being offered for $5 million ... 5 years after it was first listed for $250K. Moments in Time, the company officiating the sale, defended the intense markup to TMZ … saying Lil Wayne is one of the greatest rappers ever, making his handwritten song notes incredibly valuable. However, the price point isn’t the only notable thing about this notebook. Remember, TMZ broke the story … Moments in Time made a splash in 2019 by trying to sell the notebook on behalf of a man who claims he found LW’s old property in a car once owned by Cash Money Records.

Lil Wayne objected and demanded his work back … with his attorneys firing off a cease and desist letter to Moments in Time, saying it had no right to sell the lyrics. They also accused the guy who found the notebook of lying and waiting for the opportune moment to cash in. The guy fought back, arguing “finders-keepers,” asking the court to say he was now the rightful owner and Wayne needed to stop trying to intimidate him. Despite all the fuss, Lil Wayne didn’t even bother to respond ... so the court ruled against the rapper.

So now, after all that back and forth, a piece of rap history could be yours … if you have the Benjamins to nab it.

Sha'Carri Richardson Ripped For 'Classless' Move After Failing To Win Gold

United States Summer Olympics star Sha'Carri Richardson is taking heat for a "classless" move at the Paris Games on Sunday morning.

Richardson, the 24-year-old sprinter who missed the Tokyo Games in 2021 due to a failed drug test, entered the Paris Games among the favorites to win the women's 100m dash. But Richardson failed to do so on Saturday. Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia won the gold medal in impressive fashion. Alfred got out to a great start, unlike Richardson, and was able to hold on for gold with a time of 10.72. Richardson, who has been starting slow in recent races - including at the U.S. Olympic Trials, where she failed to qualify in the 200m dash - finished in second place with a 10.87.

It was the biggest margin of victory in the women's 100m dash since the 2008 Games in Beijing.

Following the race, a press conference was set up for the three medalists. However, Richardson skipped out on the event, refusing to meet with reporters.

Richardson is taking heat for the "classless" move, from USA TODAY:
It was Richardson’s first Olympic medal. She did not attend the mandatory post-race press conference.

"Well done to Julien Alfred who handled that solo press conference like a boss while the sore losers were nowhere in sight," one fan wrote.

"She needs to work on her personality! Can’t see her securing any major endorsements. Another Elaine Thompson with a dull personality and won’t be able to marketer herself! She gets a bit more buzz because she raced Sha’Carri who has millions of fans outside the sport," one fan added.

Perhaps there's a good explanation for why Richardson skipped the press conference, but right now, we haven't heard one.

Boxer Imane Khelif Makes Strong Statement After Gender Controversy

Imane Khelif made history as the first women's boxer from Algeria to earn an Olympic medal, then took a moment to address the controversy surrounding her gender.

Khelif's participation in the Paris Olympics came under scrutiny when the International Boxing Association released a statement on July 31 saying she failed to meet the criteria to compete as a woman in the 2023 world championships. That led to several false reports that Khelif was transgender. After defeating Hungarian boxer Anna Luca Hamori in the quarterfinal to clinch at least a bronze medal, Khelif made a strong statement putting the false reports to rest.

“I want to tell the entire world that I am a female, and I will remain a female,” she said.

The initial ruling from the IBA has also come under question, and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) banned the organization from overseeing boxing at the Paris Olympics.

Thomas Back, IOC president, said that both Khelif and Lin Yu-ting, another boxer disqualified by the IBA last year, are women.

“We have two boxers who were born as women, who have been raised as women, who have a passport as a woman, and who have competed for many years as women,” Bach said.

Fans Protest Noah Lyles’ Gold Medal Due to Controversial Finish

USA sprinter Noah Lyles won his first-ever Olympic gold medal in dramatic fashion. In Sunday's men's 100m final at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Lyles came in first after a last-second lean towards the finish line.

Lyles beat out Jamaican sprinter Kishane Thompson by just five-thousandths of a second, one of the closest finishes fans will ever witness. The official record has Lyles and Thompson finishing with the same time of 9.79 seconds, but Lyles still picked up the win by a minuscule amount.

After the race, fans noticed that Thompson may have been robbed of gold. In a photo that is going viral on social media with over seven million views, Thompson's foot is clearly well over the finish line before Lyles is. However, Lyles won because his torso was over the line before Thompson's. The official Olympic rules state that the first runner whose torso reaches the finish line wins the race.

Despite what the rule clearly states, fans still protested Lyles' gold medal, believing Thompson was more deserving of the win.

"KINDA SILLY THAT A FOOT RACE ISNT DECIDED BY FEET"

"This race should boycott because my good friend Noah Lyles did not win this race. Head, shoulder, and foot will let anyone win."

"So, what body part has to cross the line first? Because if it’s the foot, I haven’t seen a pic yet that has Noah Lyles ahead. Did buddy from Jamaica get robbed?"

"Noah Lyles crossed the finish line after the Jamaican’s foot crossed but apparently who actually crosses the line first physically doesn’t matter"

"Total robbery! Y’all know Noah Lyles did not win that race! Kishanes foot been over that line before Lyles head!"

This win gave Lyles his second Olympic medal ever, with his first coming in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where he won bronze in the 200m race. He will get to compete in that same event in Paris on Monday, August 5, where he will look for his second gold medal of the year.

Bianca Censori Uncensored for Birthday Dinner, Boobs Fully Out In See-Through Bodysuit

Bianca Censori reigns supreme in the world of risqué fashion -- but she took things to the next level with her latest look by completely freeing the nipple while out to dinner.

The Aussie model made a wildly bold statement as she and hubby Ye exited his Cybertruck Thursday ... wearing a sheer nude bodysuit that left absolutely nothing to the imagination, which made it look like she was walking into L.A.’s Giorgio Baldi completely unclothed.

The plunging bodysuit seemed almost unnecessary ... and even by Bianca's bold standards, this look was off the charts scandalous with her tatas fully on display for all to see.

She Also Said Regarding her performance for Kamala Harris

“They was fake mad that I was popping it for Kamala,” Megan told the crowd at Lollapalooza 2024 on Thursday (August 1). “I don’t think they heard what she said. Kamala said she wants a ceasefire. Kamala said she supports women’s rights. Kamala said she’s tired of these high ass gas prices.”

Damon Dash's Stake In Roc-A-Fella Records Requires Majority Vote, Expiring Soon

Damon Dash's personal share of Roc-A-Fella Records may be up on the auction block -- but the potential buyers may have regrets over the purchase because of some key factors.

Sources with direct knowledge of the sale tell TMZ Hip Hop ... Whoever buys Dame’s stake in Roc-A-Fella will only be a minority owner -- without authority over any decision-making in the company.

The reason ... all Roc-A-Fella Records decisions still require a majority vote -- so even if they wanted to make business moves with what they're inheriting from Dame (masters, etc.) they probably won't be able to do it very easily ... if at all.

Our sources also say this ... "There’s also an expiration date on the master ownership for the company, which means revenue and the only asset doesn’t have many years left.”

We broke the story ... Dash lost a $800k+ lawsuit, resulting in his 33.3 percent interest in Roc-A-Fella being seized and sold at an upcoming U.S. Marshal auction in Manhattan on August 29.

Chris Brown Lawyer Levi McCathern Confident Video Will Clear Him in $50M Lawsuit

Chris Brown's legal team says the $50 million lawsuit against him and Yella Beezy is a grand ol' shakedown.

According to the lawsuit, the R&B megastar spearheaded a beatdown of 4 men backstage following his Fort Worth, TX tour stop on July 20, as well as a security guard who claims he suffered injuries attempting to break up the ruckus.

Brown's attorney, Levi McCathern, tells TMZ Hip Hop ... he's suspicious about how fast the 50-page lawsuit was drummed up after the alleged brawl and claims the men who say they were beaten up were well enough to leave the venue without medical aid.

McCathern also says he believes there's a video of the incident and says he isn't afraid for it to surface ... telling us he thinks it'll be a key part of Breezy's defense. Whether a video actually exists though ... well, it's unclear.

Q-Tip Expresses Concerns Over 9th Wonder's Call For New Hip Hop Subgenre

Q-Tip has admitted that he is not on board with 9th Wonder‘s recent calls for the establishment of a new subgenre of Hip Hop.

9th Wonder, seemingly inspired by listening to Common and Pete Rock‘s collaborative album, called for another genre of Hip Hop to be created, similar to how the Grammys have various categories for R&B. He said on X (formerly Twitter): “This Common and Pete Rock album begs the conversation I’ve been having with folks for at least 20 years now. Adult Contemporary Hip-Hop needs its own category. Word to DO IT ALL from Lords of The Underground….we’ve been said this homie!!!”

9th Wonder later compared his idea for a new genre to the establishment of neo-soul in the 90s: “Tell that to the moment in music history when they created the term ‘Neo-Soul’. It not only separated it from other R&B styles, but it damn came with a starter kit.” Q-Tip did not necessarily agree with the need for more subgenres: “Adding ‘ADULT CONTEMPORARY’ category 2 hip hop programming is divisive. It would be nice to have everything in one pot BUT.. if there is a need to do so.. call it TRADITIONAL hip hop as ‘ADULT’ will make AGEIST prejudge.”

Jay Z Was Blocking my Superbowl performance

50 Cent says his appearance at the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show almost didn't happen ... suggesting it was because Jay-Z tried turning his company Roc Nation into Block Nation.

In his new cover story with The Hollywood Reporter ... 50 claims Roc Nation attempted to keep him off the Emmy Award-winning spectacle alongside Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar. In fact, 50 says Em turned renegade and threatened to remove himself if 50 got banned ... "Eminem wouldn’t do it without me," he recalled to the outlet.

Fiddy continues ... "That’s how I ended up on the show because he was not coming if I didn’t do it. When that happens, you go, 'Damn, so you just lost Eminem because you didn’t bring 50? Damn. All right. Bring 50 then.' But if it was up to them, they would not have me there. I’m the surprise. I’m not on the bill at all. But they couldn’t get Em to do it without me." While 50 did not explicitly say Jay's name -- the implication is clear ... especially since Roc Nation is Jay-Z's company, and everyone knows he's a honcho on SB programming now. ay in hibernation he ain’t coming outside till this shit with puff blow over, no brunch, no lunch, No dinner. LOL 😆 IM ALL YOU GOT IM OUTSIDE !

Also

50 Cent has avoided having to pay $1 Billion to a former drug lord who claimed his life story was the source material the rapper used to create his popular Power franchise.

According to AllHipHop, the G-Unit Films and Television mogul beat three separate legal claims levied against him by Cory “Ghost” Holland.

However, Judge Analisa Torres has officially dismissed all three cases.

50 Cent has announced the launch of his own TV channel in partnership with Lionsgate.
