What The HellI Going On With The Media?

Social media comedian and influencer Wellington Ojukwu spit some major facts about Ice Spice‘s recent performance at the Power 105 Powerhouse concert, where she wore a Betty Boop costume or “Wetty Boop,” (as she named the look on social media). Wellington also pointed out a 9-year who went viral for his drill rap lyrics. SMH.“The general public has been promoting this type of behavior since Jerry Springer, using our most valuable commodity. Attention. We receive that which we pay attention to…. where attention goes, energy flows,” admonished one person. “They don’t sign people with talent anymore, they promote this trash to distract us,” added another. “This world is going up in flames anyways…day by day!,” pointed out one social media user. Wellington and another IG page are the only ones who have brought attention to the Congo holocaust, and we hope other Black media sites will start amplifying what is occurring there. It’s Monday, and it’s already tew much!

Chris Brown Allegedly Ran Up on A Man Injuring Him in England/Faces Lawsuit

*Chris Brown is facing another lawsuit for rocking the noggin of a man with a Don Julio 1942 bottle at TAPE nightclub in England. Lawd! When will the lawsuits against this man end?! TMZ reports that Abe Diaw claims the “Sensational” singer used the bottle to deliver “crushing blows” to the head, leading to his unconsciousness and hospitalization due to his alleged injuries. Abe suffered lacerations to his head and had torn ligaments in his leg, allegedly (we are going to ‘allegedly’ the heck out of this piece, we’re not ’bout to get sued, ok). The alleged victim says he and Chris were homies for like seven years and was taken aback by the alleged attack; he thought Breezy was initially welcoming him with a hug. Now, Abe is trying to get Chris to cut a check for his emotional distress and trauma.

Ice Cube Educates Twitter User Who Seemed to Blame N.W.A for the Growth of Immorality in the Black Community

Ice Cube recently invited his X (formerly Twitter) fans for a question-and-answer session. His fans could ask him any question under the sun. However, most questions were queries about his upcoming album, “Man Down.”

Other questions touched on the rapper’s NWA group. One notable question took a swipe at NWA, trying to partly blame the group for the bad behavior in the Black community.

“Was N.W.A part of the agenda to destroy conscious rap, which was growing in popularity at the time, and promote sex, violence, and gangster behavior amongst the youth?” an X user asked.

The rapper chipped in on the critical question. He disagreed with the commenter’s insinuation that NWA helped fuel moral decadence in the Black community.

He reminded his audience that the same negative social issues were already in existence in the Black and Latino communities long before NWA was created.

Other similar sentiments were expressed by other commenters, who also blamed NWA for the rot in the Black communities. Ice Cube responded to these other questions as well, defending NWA over and over.

“Crack was in the neighborhoods a decade before gangsta rap. In the 70s they called it freebase,” Cube wrote. “So was heroin, weed, Mollys, gangbanging, drive-bys, pimping and ho-ing, dropping out of school, young girls getting pregnant, cussing, and then using the word Ni**a. It was all her before NWA.”

Cardi B Reacts to Tasha K’s Tearful Video Rant: ‘I Just Can’t Afford the $4 Million’

Cardi B reacted to Tasha K’s emotional video rant in which the popular vlogger admitted that her ego caused her legal trouble with the Bronx rapper.

Tasha has reportedly proposed a payment plan to settle the case.

In a recent video update, Tasha said she aided in “tearing [Cardi] down.”

She also reacted to Cardi’s previous video admission that she was feeling depressed to the point of having suicidal thoughts.

Tasha reached out to the “WAP” rapper after Cardi’s post about wanting to put a “bullet in her head.”

Tasha K said she sent Cardi a DM that said: “If you put a bullet in your head, Cardi…who is going to teach me to be a better person? Please stop posting stuff like this. I’m gonna pay you. I just can’t afford the $4 million. I said too many kids love you to be reading stuff like this and believe it or not…I love you.”

Tasha K admitted, “That was the hardest thing for me to say to her. But, it’s true.”

Her private messages appear to have pulled at Cardi’s heartstrings because she hit up social media to announce: “It don’t make me happy seeing somebody else going through some shit,” Cardi said on Twitter Spaces on Wednesday night.

“It don’t make me happy seeing people with tears on their face. And I’m not telling this because I want y’all thinking, ‘Oh Cardi, you’re so nice,’ this and that. It just genuinely doesn’t make me happy,” she added.

The hip-hop star did not mention Tasha K’s name or the multi-million dollar defamation verdict, but fans believe she may let Tasha K off the hook.

“I’m gonna talk to my mom tomorrow because, let me tell you something, I could tell when somebody is depressed,” Cardi B added, without mentioning specific details of the person she was referring to. “I can tell when somebody is going through some shit and I can tell when somebody just feels like they don’t have nobody to talk to.”

DWIGHT HOWARD DENIES SEXUAL ASSAULT, HOPES MA$E & OTHERS RECOGNIZE HUMANITARIAN EFFORTS

Dwight Howard has denied the sexual assault accusations made by Stephen Harper, who is suing the eight-time NBA All-Star for assault and battery, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Howard hopes that people who have commented on the situation publicly, like Ma$e, can see the good he’s done.

A statement issued by his publicist to HipHopDX, which was made on Sunday (October 29), made clear that Howard prefers the focus to be on his humanitarian efforts, not on his private life or the suit. It also called the credibility of his accuser into question.

“This is a civil case that was made public for profit. In this case, the accuser is solely suing Dwight Howard and has refrained from suing the other party in which he claims to be involved,” the statement began. “It is important to know that these matters were NEVER about sexual assault. This was merely about money and greed.

The rapper/ host Ma$e cast doubt on the belief that people don’t care about the private lives of public figures, citing the reports tied to Howard as a reason he isn’t on an NBA roster this season. But the rapper-turned-talk-show-host seemed less concerned about the alleged assault than about the fact that the accuser was a man.

“We gotta stop telling people, ‘I don’t care what you do on your own time.’ Because we do care… And women, you gotta stop. We gotta stop telling n-ggas, ‘What you do in your own personal time has nothing to do with me.’ It does matter. Those are the lies that are going on in society,” Ma$e began.

AKADEMIKS ANGERS YUNG MIAMI & SAUCY SANTANA WITH BRUTAL CITY GIRLS CRITICISM

Akademiks has found himself in the hot seat after delivering brutal criticism of the City Girls‘ latest album.

Over the weekend, a video surfaced on social media of Akademiks delivering a scathing review of the Florida duo’s latest effort, RAW, the follow-up to their 2020 sophomore album City on Lock.

“I talked to almost the head of the RIAA […] they told me this shit went 15x plastic,” he ridiculed the project, which debuted at No. 117 on the Billboard 200 after selling a reported 10,000 units in its first week.

“They said, ‘Ak, this is the first triple plastic certification we’ve given out.’ He said the last time they dropped a record, it went double styrofoam, but now we gotta go to plastic.”

He continued: “They said, ‘Basically, it’s like a fast food order.’ Paper or plastic? Listen, these two are down horrendous. Now, I’m going to be honest with y’all: the City Girls wave has fizzled out, musically.

“With all due respect to them, JT, you’re clearly the talented one of the two. If I’m you, I jump ship now — you gotta to do the Swae Lee. Out of there, peace. Two fingers, I’m out.”

The podcaster then suggested that JT should let Yung Miami “go host her talk show and follow Diddy around on the island” and that the duo owe Lil Yachty an “apology” as their songwriting has “decreased” since they stopped working with him.

Needless to say, Akademiks’ outspoken commentary did not go unnoticed by Yung Miami, who took to Twitter to clap back at the criticism.

“IF YOU AIN’T ABOUT THAT MURDER GAME THEN PUSSY N-GGA SHUT UP PLEASEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!” she wrote.

BLUEFACE'S ALLEGED SHOOTING VICTIM CLAIMS HE WAS JUMPED OVER 'PLAYBOY BUNNY' T-SHIRT

Blueface‘s alleged shooting victim has come forward with more details regarding why he believes the “Thotiana” rapper targeted him.

In his first sit-down interview since the incident, Kentavious “Tay” Traylor, who was allegedly shot by Blueface outside a Las Vegas strip club last October, spoke with Cam Capone News to share his side of the story.

During the interview, Osborne claimed he was jumped outside the club over his choice of attire — specifically, a T-shirt featuring the Playboy bunny logo.

“A guy hit me. I said, ‘Alright, I’m about to beat your ass.’ I pulled up my pants and got ready to fight, and next thing you know I’m getting jumped,” he recalled.

“Honestly, it all started because of a shirt I had on. I just had on a Playboy bunny shirt — that’s how all of this started. They thought I was a from rival gang or something.”

SUGE KNIGHT STARTING PODCAST FROM PRISON!!!
AKON RESPONDS TO SUGE KNIGHT’S ‘SAD & SERIOUSLY EMBARRASSING’ RAPE CLAIMS

Akon has responded to Suge Knight‘s claims that he raped a 13-year-old girl.

The Death Row co-founder launched his new Collect Call podcast from prison last week, during which he claimed that the “Smack That” artist and his longtime producer, Detail, sexually assaulted the 13-year-old sister of one of Knight’s associates, as well as her 12-year-old friend.

Taking to X on Sunday (October 29), Akon denied Suge Knight’s claims, calling the story a “lie.”

“The world knows a lie when they hear it,” he wrote. “It’s unfortunate that this man is going out like this. It’s sad and seriously embarrassing.”

“Regardless of our history, I’m still going to be praying for him,” he added, referencing their past beef.

Suge Knight broke down the alleged incident in detail on his podcast, claiming it happened in a hotel room.

“I wasn’t going to bring it up,” Suge began. “[But] one of my homegirls, she was a hustler. She had a little sister, 13 years old. And her best friend was 12 years old. She’s in the car with him. You and Detail call her [Suge’s homegirl].

“And she said, ‘I got my little sister and her best friend with me.’ I said, ‘Well, then stop by for a second.’ She go by y’all hotel, in y’all room, and she gets a call. It was the dudes she met at the hotel when she was coming to see you muthafuckas.

“He said, ‘Come by, just for 20 minutes.’ [And she said] ‘I can’t do it right now, I gotta take my little sister home, with her friend. I’ll be back in about an hour.’ He said, ‘Come by in 20 minutes, I got a big payday for you.’ You, Akon, said, ‘Go ahead. You can leave your little sister and her friend right here. We can order them something to eat.'”

He continued: “She goes to the next room … she says she comes back in about 35 minutes. When she gets back in the room, her little sister and that other little girl don’t wanna eat.

“They look scared. And they’re crying. When she gets back in the car with them, they tell her, ‘Akon, you fucked the little girl, 13 — Detail fucked the little girl, 12 years old. Y’all raped them.’

“So when she told me, I pulled up on her, and she said she’s going to the police to put you muthafuckas in jail for rape. I said, ‘Nah, we don’t do that, telling to the police. I’ll deal with it. I promise you that.’ So I was trying to catch you muthafuckas about that situation.”

Akon previously claimed that his feud with Suge Knight stemmed from a financial dispute during an interview with VladTV in 2020.

KODAK BLACK THREATENS TO BEAT UP 'PU$$Y' RAY J OVER CLAIM HE UPSET DONALD TRUMP

Kodak Black has issued a stern response to Ray J after he expressed concern for his wellbeing and claimed that his behavior once upset Donald Trump during a visit to the former president’s home.

Ray J made the claim in a comment on Akademiks’ Instagram page under a video of Kodak’s recent Drink Champs interview, during which he spoke with slurred speech and behaved erratically.

“Yo somebody need to grab bro and make sure he good,” the “One Wish” singer wrote. “This ain’t the interview Nore. We gotta help this dude.

“I took him to Trump house and he did the most. They were not happy with the experience bc he had no guidance and respect. Yo @wack100 let’s figure out how we can help this guy instead of watching him self destruct.”

Kodak Black fired back during a profanity-laced rant on Instagram Live on Sunday (October 29), in which he threatened to beat up Ray J — who he repeatedly called a “bitch” and a “pussy” — while refuting his Trump story.

TYRESE’S EX-WIFE TAKES ‘ACCOUNTABILITY’ FOR ‘UGLY & MESSY’ DIVORCE

Tyrese‘s ex-wife, Samantha Lee, has finally admitted to her role in the demise of her relationship with the singer and Fast & Furious actor.

In two separate videos that went viral on Saturday (October 28), the licensed social worker addressed the finer points of her marriage, including the role she played in its ending.

“I’m not allowing this to be twisted,” she said in the first video. “I took accountability in that interview. I don’t take back anything that I said. When you grow, and you learn, and you’re in relationships with people, and you go from those relationships and grow from those relationships, you have to take accountability for what you did, and your part in it.”

In the second video, she went on to acknowledge that she certainly played a role in things getting as bad as they did between the former pair. “In that interview, I came in with the mentality that I was going to own me. I can’t own anybody else’s behavior. I can only own mine,” she said. “And I’m not going to allow myself to get into anything. To get into the potholes, and to get into the tricks of trying to make this very messy and ugly — uglier than it is.”
