BEYONCÉ DROPS 2 NEW COUNTRY SONGS & ANNOUNCES 'RENAISSANCE ACT II' RELEASE DATE

Beyoncé has confirmed the long-held fan theory that the follow-up to her massive 2022 release Renaissance: act i will be a Country album, with the surprise release of two new singles.

The megastar announced the arrival of Renaissance: act ii in a multi-layered reveal that started with a new Super Bowl ad for Verizon. In it, Beyoncé and the network’s now iconic “Can You Hear Me Now” tech try a number of different schemes to see if Queen Bey can “break the internet” once again.

The commercial ends with Beyoncé blasting off to space, as a fictional news anchor announces her plans to deliver the first live performance from space. In the last few seconds of the ad, Bey says, “Okay, they ready, drop the new music.”

The surprise Verizon ad had the intended effect of driving fans to her socials as they looked for additional hints as to how to access Beyoncé’s latest offering. And moments after the ad premiered, she delivered with a Texas-themed trailer for the new project, which is set to arrive on March 29.

Thirty minutes after sharing the trailer, she returned to Instagram to announce the release of two new singles, “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages.” The artwork for the two singles seems to continue the silver theme she started with the first Renaissance album.

DR. DRE & SNOOP DOGG ANNOUNCE NEW ‘GIN & JUICE’ DRINK WITH ‘PULP FICTION’-STYLE TRAILER

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg have teamed up on a new beverage inspired by one of their biggest hits from early in their careers.

On Saturday (February 10), the duo shared a cinematic trailer for their new ‘Gin & Juice’ product that features them playing two gangsters reminiscent of Vincent and Jules from Quentin Tarantino’s 1994 classic Pulp Fiction.

Based on a clip shared by the legendary team’s joint Twitter account, the drink will come in four flavors: Apricot, Citrus, Melon and Passionfruit. It is worth noting that multiple ‘Gin & Juice’ trademarks were filed last year by a company called Defiant Ones, LLC, which shares its name with the 2017 mini-series about the alliance between Dre and Jimmy Iovine.

The same entity also filed a claim over “Vodka & Juice By Dre and Snoop.” Considering their collaborative social media account is called By Dre And Snoop, which doesn’t specify any one product, more items by the two might be in the works.

LIL WAYNE EXPLAINS WHAT'S NEEDED TO MAKE HOT BOYS REUNION TOUR HAPPEN

Lil Wayne has revealed what it would take to make a Hot Boys reunion tour happen.

Rumors of a tour have been swirling since last year and heated up after B.G. was released from prison in December, even though issues apparently remain between the pair.

Wayne has now offered his first comment on the potential for a reunion during an interview on YG’s new 4HUNNID Podcast.

Weezy appeared open to the tour but acknowledged logistical issues remain.

He said: “We’ve spoken about it a few times but, you know, they have situations. Like B.G. just coming home so he gotta figure out: can he tour? Can he travel? And things like that.

“Juvie ready and Turk ready, but really we gotta see if Geezy can move around.”

When asked if that’s the “only piece” of the puzzle left to solve, Wayne replied: “Yeah.”

He added: “‘Cause everybody got their own thing. Everybody got their own record label, their own situation. Nobody ain’t tied down to nothing. So when we asked everybody, they were like, ‘Yeah, we can jump on whenever.’ We just gotta get Geezy right.”

Travis Kelce Slams Article Crediting Him for Inventing the Fade Haircut

NFL star Travis Kelce has addressed the backlash to a New York Times article that credits him for popularizing the “fade” haircut that Black males have been rocking since before the athlete was born.

“New York Times, so that’s how you start Black History Month,” Sharpe added, noting that he has been getting the fade haircut since 1986.

“I’m trying to figure out what black barbershop you go in and say let me get the Travis Kelce,” Sharpe said.

In the article titled “They’ll Take the Travis Kelce — Hairdo, That Is,” reporter Alyson Krueger claims barbers in Canada and the United States “told her that dozens of patrons have come in requesting the same hairstyle as the NFL star,” the New York Post writes.

Mr. Kelce’s hairstyle, a buzz cut fade, is easy to replicate,” Krueger wrote. Kelce, who is dating pop star Taylor Swift, responded to the controversial report during a pre-Super Bowl interview with ESPN on Tuesday.

“Man, I got a good fade, if you need it,” he said in the clip shared on TikTok. “It’s a two on top, a nice high to mid fade with a taper on the back.”

“But I didn’t invent that — I just asked for it,” Kelce added.

“It’s absolutely ridiculous,” he said of The New York Times article. “And to do it on Feb. 1 and throw me to the wolves like that,” Kelce contained, referring to Black History Month. “That was just messed up, man. I don’t want anything to do with that one.”

CHRISEAN ROCK DOUBLES DOWN AMID BACKLASH OVER ISRAEL/PALESTINE STATEMENTS

Chrisean Rock is not backing down from her recent comments about the Israel-Palestine conflict, despite the backlash she’s receiving from it.

As previously reporte
d, the rapper/reality star spoke about the ongoing conflict on an Instagram Live on Wednesday (February 7), and essentially blamed the issues on the fact Palestinians don’t worship Jesus.

Following an overwhelmingly negative response once the video went viral, Chrisean took to her Instagram Story to double down on her sentiments.

“See the full live nobody saying anything out of pocket,” she wrote. “this just my preference on things I respect what ppl believe I just know what the word says.”

In the original clip, Rock said of Palestinians: “They don’t believe in Jesus so that’s why it’s happening, right? Like, all of them people bowing down with their carpets that’s on the floor, they praying down to a God that said to worship his son, to accept his son first.

“And then they making big palaces of it. Like, they really standing and sticking behind it. Like, they made laws about their religion.”

She added: “Where Jesus was born at, they over there believe in something that totally have nothing to do with him. ‘Cause I seen videos where they pray at, there’s cockroaches and infested with — so what is God trying to tell us?

“That’s what I want to know from this whole situation. What is the message behind the chaos? Things always happen for a reason — not the economic, political reason. What is the spiritual reason behind it?”

Rock’s comments were widely mocked for their ignorance and factual inaccuracy as Muslims do believe in Jesus; it is Jewish people who do not believe Jesus — who himself was a Jew — to be the Messiah. Palestine also has a sizeable Christian population.
