J. COLE APOLOGIZES FOR KENDRICK LAMAR DISS SONG, PLANS TO ERASE IT FROM STREAMING

J. Cole has publicly apologized to Kendrick Lamar for dissing him on “7 Minute Drill” while performing at Dreamville Festival.

Walking back his lyrics about his longtime friend on the surprise song that was released on last week, Cole expressed regret about releasing the track.

“I’m so proud of [Might Delete Later], except for one part. It’s one part of that shit that makes me feel like, man that’s the lamest shit I did in my fuckin’ life, right? And I know this is not what a lot of people want to hear,” he said to the crowd during his headlining set on Sunday night (April 7).

“I was conflicted because: one, I know my heart and I know how I feel about my peers. These two n-ggas that I just been blessed to even stand beside in this game, let alone chase they greatness. So I felt conflicted ’cause I’m like, bruh, I don’t even feel no way. But the world wanna see blood. I don’t know if y’all can feel that, but the world wanna see blood.”

Cole went on to praise Kendrick: “That shit disrupts my fucking peace. So what I want to say right here tonight is in the midst of me doing that, trying to find a little angle and downplay this n-gga’s fucking catalog and his greatness, I want to say right now tonight, how many people think Kendrick Lamar is one of the greatest motherfuckers to ever touch a fucking microphone? Dreamville, y’all love Kendrick Lamar, correct? As do I.”

He continued: “I just want to come up here and publicly be like, bruh, that was the lamest, goofiest shit. I say all that to say it made me feel like 10 years ago when I was moving incorrectly. And I pray that God will line me back up on my purpose and on my path. I pray that my n-gga really didn’t feel no way and if he did, my n-gga, I got my chin out. Take your best shot. I’ma take that shit on the chin, boy. Do what you do.

“All good. It’s love. And I pray that y’all forgive a n-gga for the misstep and I can get back to my true path. Because I ain’t gonna lie to y’all, the past two days felt terrible. It let me know how good I’ve been sleeping for the past 10 years.”

The Dreamville boss also said he would be taking the diss track off streaming services but at the time of writing it is still available on Spotify and Apple Music.

SEXYY RED THROWS IMPROMPTU SHOW AFTER BEING DENIED HIGH SCHOOL GIG FOR SMELLING LIKE WEED

Sexyy Red was denied entry into a high school for smelling like weed, but she didn’t let the setback blow her high.

On Wednesday (April 3), the “Pound Town” rapper shared a series of videos on her Instagram Stories detailing her experience attempting to speak to students at a high school in her hometown of St. Louis.

“Look, so this school, I came up here, got cute, tried to talk to the kids, give ’em the word of the day and they gonna put me off tell me I smell like weed,” Sexyy explained.

She continued by taking a jab at those who turned her away. “Bitch, you’re nobody, they ain’t come to see you, Otis! Bitch, you heard who they’re screaming for.”

In a separate video shared by an Instagram user who was present, Red is seen stood on top of a car and turning up outside the school where she was denied.

The “SkeeYee” star raps along to her latest single “Get It Sexyy” while a group of excited students chant the song’s chorus in unison.

Ray said
he would not be diving into those Diddy waters
Ray J is not surprised by the collective silence of Diddy's closest friends -- he believes entertainment's elite are taking time to understand the mounting allegations, and there's a lot to process. Ray himself opted to plead the 5th as far as what he knows about Diddy's parties -- however, he suggests most of Diddy's A-list pals are taking time to learn more about the cases, and he suspects we'll eventually start hearing more from them. Ray made it clear he would not be diving into those waters, not at this point.

Diddy's Son King Combs Sued for Sexual Assault During 2022 Yacht Party

Diddy's son, Christian "King" Combs, is being sued for sexual assault, and the alleged victim claims she has audio recordings of him forcing himself on her during a yacht party ... and another accuser, Rodney Jones, is involved in this too.

Grace O'Marcaigh just filed the suit against King in L.A., alleging she was working as a steward on a yacht she claims Diddy himself chartered a few days before New Year's Eve in 2022. In the suit, O'Marcaigh alleges she was doing her job during the shindig -- which she claims was advertised as a family-friendly excursion -- and King came on, after which she claims he immediately became fixated on her, uncomfortably so.

She alleges King had her take a shot of liquor, and she claims she immediately suspected it was spiked ... but despite that, she was able to tell him to get off of her and leave her alone. She claims King was trying to kiss and grope her, despite her protestations. O'Marcaigh's lawsuit purports to describe audio recordings of what she claims depict her telling King she's not interested in sex with him and trying to get away from him while they were together in a studio on the yacht. Eventually, she says she was able to get away -- but claims King insisted she find him a place to sleep, so she says she led him to the theater. Once there, O'Marcaigh claims King cornered her again and attempted to force her to perform oral sex on him -- but she says she fought him off, and includes in the docs photos of her forearm, which she claims was bruised in the altercation.

Eventually, O'Marcaigh says she was able to escape ... but claims to have suffered mentally and emotionally ever since. BTW, she claims Rodney Jones -- Diddy's formerly-hired music producer, who's also suing Diddy -- was in the mix for this yacht party, and she's being repped by Tyrone Blackburn, the same lawyer who filed Rodney's lawsuit. Diddy is named as a defendant in this lawsuit as well ... accused of being liable for actually chartering the yacht. O'Marcaigh also claims to have witnessed Diddy onboard with women she calls "sex workers" ... and that Diddy exposed himself to Yung Miami while they played a game of "Careesha Please." Interestingly, she says that was all recorded by a Hulu camera crew. O'Marcaigh is suing Diddy, specifically, for aiding and abetting King in the alleged assault.

CARDI B USES SNOOP DOGG TO SHUT DOWN CLAIM HER SKIN COLOR HAS BENEFITTED HER CAREER

Cardi B has used Snoop Dogg as an example while hitting back at claims her career has been benefitted by her skin color.

The drama comes after a social media influencer called the Bronx rap star “ghetto” despite not being “visibly Black.”

Speaking on Instagram Live, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper, who is half Dominican, half Trinidadian, addressed the criticism head on.

“There’s a lot of artists that are light-skinned. There’s a lot of artists that are dark-skinned. They don’t get the deals that I get. You wanna know why?” she said.

“Because a lot of n-ggas just don’t know how to market themselves. They just not smart enough. It’s not even about smart enough. I have been hustling for so many years. I worked in a strip club. I feel like I know the etiquette to make money.”

This Ya Gotta See! Chinese Kobe Bryant Impersonator Goes Viral

In China, a 21-year-old named Ma Jinghui from Yunnan province has become a sensation by impersonating Kobe Bryant. According to SandraRose.com, Ma amassed over 600,000 followers on Douyin, China’s equivalent of TikTok. In his videos, he wears dark makeup (blackface) and Bryant’s No. 24 jersey. He allegedly earned $12,000 within ten days through live-streaming sessions.

Identifying himself as the “Chinese Kobe Bryant,” he interacts with his followers in English.

As SCMP.com reports, Ma said he was “pleasantly surprised” by his fame.

“I hope to earn more money, buy a car for my dad and get my sister a new phone,” he said. “I’m now learning English to pay a better tribute to Kobe Bryant,” Ma added.

“My goal is 1 million followers, and I’ll be live-streaming basketball games in the future.”

Kobe's Championship Ring Sold

We reported earlier that Bryant’s 2000 NBA championship set a new sports memorabilia record, fetching nearly one million dollars at Goldin Auctions.

Bryant earned the ring with his first championship win, which he won when the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Indiana Pacers in 2000. Kobe gifted the ring to his father, Joe, who reportedly put it up for auction. It recently sold for $927,200 USD. Goldin Auctions announced the record-breaking sale, now holding the title for the most expensive NBA championship ring sold, HypeBeast reports.

In a statement, Goldin said, “Obtained directly from the Bryant family, this ring is a true one-of-a-kind, and we can confirm that it is the only championship ring ever given by Kobe to his father.”

BEYONCÉ & POST MALONE SONG HELPS BOOST LEVI’S STOCK PRICE

Beyoncé joined forces with Post Malone on a country song named “Levii’s Jeans” as part of latest album, and this reference has now given Levi Strauss & Co. a massive push.

Soon after Bey’s Cowboy Carter dropped last month, the American clothing company altered its Instagram name to mirror the aforementioned song title. According to CBS News, their stock spiked by 20% on Thursday (April 4).

“I would just say that denim is having a moment and the Levi’s brand is having a powerful moment around the world,” chief executive officer Michelle Gass said.

“One of the things that really is significant about the Levi’s brand and we place a lot of emphasis and investment is making sure that Levi’s brand remains in the center of culture. And I don’t think there’s any better evidence or proof point than having someone like Beyoncé, who is a culture shaper, to actually name a song after us.”

GLORILLA CALLS FOR CARDI B & NICKI MINAJ TRUCE, ADDRESSES JT RELATIONSHIP ON NEW MIXTAPE

GloRilla has called for a truce between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj on her new mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang.

The project arrived on Friday (April 5) and contains a song called “Aite” which finds the Memphis native advocating for peace among her female rap peers.

Glo also addresses her relationship with City Girls star JT, shutting down rumors of a feud between them.

“I just pray one day the bad bitches would come together/ ‘Cause Cardi and Nicki on a track would break some fuckin’ records/ Me and JT ain’t the best of friends but we ain’t beefin,'” she raps on the Kevo Muney-assisted track.

GLORILLA & JT TRADE SHOTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA FOLLOWING MENTION ON NEW MIXTAPE

GloRilla and JT have addressed their relationship in a fiery exchange on social media.

On Friday (April 5), the City Girls rapper hit X/Twitter to seemingly address persistent rumors suggesting that she and Glo were involved in a physical altercation last year.

“I been said she didn’t! She the one went radio silent! Played into, released a song about slapping rap bitches now it’s female unity?? CORNY!!!!!,” she wrote.

JT went on to address a fan’s accusation of indirectly targeting Glo, writing, “Absolutely not! I don’t have personal issues with these individuals, and my first intention is always to wish them well!”

When a fan asked about the origin of the rumor and why GloRilla hadn’t dispelled the false claims, JT responded, “I guess she was waiting on her tape to address & who gone clear up going viral for slapping someone when the whole hood believed it! It was on brand! [sleeping face emoji].”

Soon after, GloRilla entered the chat, and in a since-deleted tweet clapped back at JT, with a beauty tip. “Ho shut yo dumb ass up & fix dem uglass wigs I said it ain’t no beef ho you da one with da secret animosity,” she wrote.

It was a slight JT didn’t take lying down, responding, “Ugly wigs? Bitch is you dumb hoe? you’ll NEVER in your life be this raw hoe I been had fake tittys off care credit, I been that bitch you just getting training wheels!”

“I honestly thought glo was a real bitch man but she not she caused all that shit with FNF remix too! Came in the game messy & phony ready to switch on your homies too had to jump back on the roof!,” she continued in a separate thread.

JT took it as far as hinting that the beef might turn physical in the future, publishing a list of her mugshots with an empty space, presumably left open for a battle with Glo.

“Girl dem mugshots is from you stealing not fighting bitch STFU,” Glo clapped back.

Cardi B has made it clear that she won’t stand for being called something that she’s not.

Taking to her Instagram Live on Thursday (April 4), the “Up” rapper took the time to clarify the difference between being Mexican and being Dominican.

“I feel offended that people call me Mexican and stuff because I’m not Mexican,” she began. “I’m not Mexican. My nationality’s not the same. We don’t have the same cultures. We speak the same language. We have different dialects.”

He continued: “We don’t eat the same food. We don’t eat the same nothing. Call a Nigerian Ghanian. Call a Haitian Jamaican or call a Jamaican a Haitian. Call a Ghanian a Trini. And you tell me how they’re gonna feel.”
